As there has been an ever increasing proliferation of Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) and their practical applications, integration of UAVs into the commercial and GA traffic environment continues to be a primary goal of the industry. Functional Overview

ATCiB for Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) is a simulated Air Traffic Control Environment. UAV Operators interact with simulated air traffic controller(s) and tactical agencies through the use of intelligent speech recognition and high quality synthetic speech responses. ATCiB generates a realistic level of air traffic and radio communications that are accurate within the context of the airspace and training situation. The UAV operator can become familiar with ATC procedures and radio phraseology by interacting with the simulated air traffic controllers while ATCiB generates target information that would be detectable by the appropriate sensor capabilities of the UAV and the UAV operator station.

ATCiB can be used to stimulate existing UAV simulators and operator consoles, or installed as a standalone system with its own UAV simulation capability. Flight models of the UAV can be user defined allowing training of multiple UAV types within a single system.
