Aircraft Marshalling Training
The Adacel Aircraft Marshalling Simulator (AAMS) enables training for ramp, maintenance and ground handling personnel in aircraft marshalling procedures and techniques. The AAMS addresses the current disadvantages of having to train personnel using expensive and seldom available assets in live operational environments. The AAMS optimizes training while minimizing cost and impact on overall operations.
Main Features
High fidelity 3D simulation of airport and ramp environment
Airport sound effects including aircraft, vehicles and weather
Standard trainee’s field of view (FOV) 135 degrees, expandable to 360 degrees
User definable advanced weather effects, e.g., snow, rain, fog, lightning
Detailed aircraft, vehicle and ramp personnel models
Articulated aircraft models, e.g., flaps, wheels, rudder, engines, etc
Synchronized Record and Playback of scenario and trainee’s actions
Instructor responses for marshalling signals (over 50 signals)
Easy to use Scenario Preparation Software
Single or dual instructor operation
Includes 30 models (aircraft, vehicles and servicing equipment)
Events management capability both at scenario preparation time and at run-time. Examples include: engine failure,
engine fire, smoke in cockpit, hot brakes, loss communication
Automated or manual control of all scenario aircraft
COTS equipment and large software customer base allows for reduced acquisition costs, excellent reliability and
low maintenance and support costs
Options
The modular design of the AAMS allows users to acquire additional options. These options allow for advanced training capability and flexibility.
Instructor/Trainee intercom
Doppler sound effects system
Speech Recognition (SR) allowing the instructor to command the simulator using voice commands
Trainees FOV expandable to 360 degrees
Digital video capture of trainee’s actions
Additional aircraft, vehicle and personnel models
Additional airport and ramp databases
