Fred Sheldon
CEO North America

Frederick L. Sheldon was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Adacel's North American operations in July 2004. He also undertakes the role or Senior Vice President Business Development. Mr Sheldon has an extensive background in managing aviation and defense technology businesses and programs. Mr Sheldon was previously Executive Vice President of Electro-Optical Systems Group and Vice President/General Manager of Sensors & Targeting Systems, both part of DRS Technologies, Inc. He previously held senior executive positions with Litton Industries Inc, where he was Vice President for Corporate Business Development, as well as Rockwell, Boeing Company and Avco Corporation. In the Air Force his positions included deputy of the Air Force Systems Command Liaison Office in Canada, and member of staff of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering.

Mr. Sheldon has a BS degree in engineering from Cleveland State University, and has taken graduate studies in aeronautical and optical engineering.

Don Cleveland
Senior VP and CFO

Donald R. Cleveland joined Adacel in January 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Adacel's North American operations. Don is a financial executive with broad experience in strategic planning, accounting, operations and finance in aerospace and DoD contracting companies.

Don was most recently Chief Financial Officer at Aerospace Integration Corporation (AIC), Crestview, FL, where he had the overall responsibility for financial performance of this fast growing company. Don was previously Vice President of Finance at Derco Aerospace Inc., Milwaukee, WI, a $200M supplier of parts and services for military and commercial aircraft with sales in over 60 countries - Sikorsky Aircraft, a division of United Technologies Corporation, purchased Derco in 2002. While at Derco, Don directed all financial functions for the company’s worldwide operations including four business units, and eight legal entities. Previously, Don held several management and staff positions at Applied Power, Inc., Johnson Controls Inc., and Harris Corporation. He began his finance career with Arthur Andersen in 1986.

Don holds a BBA – Business Management and Accounting, and an MBA in Finance, Investments and Banking, from the University of Wisconsin.

Seth Brown
Senior Advisor, Strategic Initiatives

Seth P. Brown was appointed Senior Advisor – Strategic Initiatives in January 2008. Mr. Brown has served as Adacel North America’s Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of Canada since January 2005. Mr. Brown has extensive financial management experience in aerospace and defense companies.

He was Director of Finance and Site Controller with Smith’s Aerospace – Electronic Systems and Vice President, Finance with Fairchild Defense. Prior to this, Mr. Brown held senior financial management positions in Matra Defense Company and Fairchild Space & Defense Corporation. He was also previously a senior auditor with Arthur Anderson & Co.

Mr Brown has a M.S. Accounting from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics.

Marsha Bell
VP, Commercial pilot Training & Systems

Marsha Bell joined Adacel in October 2008, as VP of Commercial Pilot Training Systems. This new business unit will leverage Adacel’s speech recognition and artificial intelligence expertise to enhance the realism of pilot training programs.

Marsha began her aviation training career with FlightSafety International in 1990. When FlightSafety and Boeing created the joint venture, FlightSafety Boeing, Marsha moved to the Seattle-based joint venture as part of the first management team developing what had been an internal department into a global business. Marsha was later part of the team that led the transition from joint venture with FlightSafety to a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company known now as Alteon. As part of that transition, she orchestrated the rebranding of the business across the globe.

More recently, she served as Alteon’s Vice President of First Officer Programs. Her worldwide efforts to influence airlines and support regulators in the introduction of ICAO’s Multi-Crew Pilot License resulted in the successful launch of Alteon’s MPL beta test training program in Brisbane, Australia. In that role and most recently as Alteon’s VP of Marketing, Marsha regularly presented at industry forums sparking worldwide conversations among airlines, regulators, pilot groups, and industry groups about better ways to train pilots.

Dr. Mark Creasap
VP, U.S. Simulation and Training

Dr. Mark Creasap serves as the Vice President, U.S. Simulation and Training. Prior joining Adacel, Dr Creasap was a Senior Development Engineer for the Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD) at The MITRE Corporation, where he focused on the building, deployment and success of the MITRE Aviation Institute. Prior to MITRE, he spent 16 years as an air traffic controller for the United States Air Force (USAF) finishing his career as the Chief, Air Traffic Control Training for Headquarters, USAF. He holds an Ed.D. in Adult Education from Nova Southeastern University and both a M.S. and B.S. in Aerospace Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Cyrille Jodas
VP, International Simulation and Training

Cyrille Jodas joined Adacel in 2002 and is currently the acting Vice President for International Simulation and Training. Cyrille has broad experience in project management, software development, avionics and sales.

Cyrille has held numerous positions with Adacel, including Project Manager for its flagship MaxSim® simulator products. Before joining Adacel, Cyrille was most recently Product Sales manager for GEMPLUS, a leading smart card-based solutions company based in Montreal, Canada, where he had responsibility for pre- and post-sales support as well as communications and training for the company’s top products. Cyrille has also held positions with CAE, as an Avionics Specialist; Mesure Controle Commande in France, as a Software Engineer; and he began his career as a Software Engineer and Content Analyst with Cognitive Art in Chicago, Illinois.

Cyrille holds a BE – Electronic Systems and Computer Sciences from IRESTE, University of Nantes, France.

Bill Lang
VP, ATM

Bill Lang has headed Adacel’s Air Traffic Management group since October 2000. Prior to joining Adacel, Mr Lang was employed by CAE Electronics Ltd. of Montreal where he worked in the marketing of air traffic management systems, military flight simulators and marine control systems for 10 years. He also held position in business development for Oerlikon Aerospace and as a chartering broker in the shipping industry.

He holds a Master of Business Administration degree in international business and marketing from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Concordia University in Montreal. While a student he completed reserve officer training and served for 13 years in the Canadian Armed Forces (Naval Reserve).

Gary Pearson
VP, Advanced Programs

As Vice President, Advanced Programs, Gary Pearson is responsible for defining new technologically advanced programs that take Adacel’s proven technology and products into associated market sectors. Mr Pearson joined Adacel in 2001 and led the development team responsible for the functional content of the USAF MaxSim TSS system, the world’s most advanced tower simulation system.

Prior to joining Adacel, Mr Pearson was a product development manager and test group leader in the ATC simulation industry. Prior to this he was an air traffic control officer and qualified air traffic control examining officer in the Royal Air Force (RAF) and a flight manager responsible for day-to-day specialist cargo operations for a European air cargo company. Earlier in his career, Mr Pearson served in the Merchant Marine.

Monique Legault
Director, Human Resources

Prior to joining Adacel in July 2000, Ms Legault was a Human Resources Manager with Ernst & Young in Montreal and Director, Human Resources at Stikeman Elliott and Ogilvy Renault.

She is a member of the executive committee of the Ordre des Conseillers en Ressources Humaines et en Relations Industrielles Agréés du Québec - Montérégie section and was previously President of the Québec Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, based in Chicago.

Ms Legault holds a Master’s level diploma in management at Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Relations and Public Relations from the University of Montreal.

Australian Managment Team

George Watts
General Manager, Australian Operations & Business Development

Mr Watts joined Adacel in 1992 in a marketing and sales role. He has since held a senior management appointments and was involved in the establishment of Adacel’s North American operations and COO of the Montreal operations. Mr Watts was appointed Manager, Australian Operations in June 2004.

He is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon with an electrical engineering degree and served in the defense forces for 12 years. On leaving the Army as a Major he joined Fujitsu for the formation of its new telecommunications business prior to appointment to senior positions as GM Marketing and Sales with a start-up telecommunications company and GM of AeroSpace Technologies Australia, Systems Division.

Sophie Karzis
Company Secretary Adacel Technologies Limited

Sophie is a practising lawyer with over 10 years experience as a commercial lawyer, and company secretary and in-house counsel for a number of private and public companies. She is currently the Company Secretary of a number of listed entities including Adacel Technologies Limited. She is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and of Chartered Secretaries Australia.

Sophie’s practice primarily involves corporate law including listing rules, corporate governance, fundraising (rights issues and placements), acquisitions, as well as the more general aspects of commercial law.
